Dohuk, North Iraq (AINA) -- Authorities in Dohuk, north Iraq who refused to give permission for the Assyrian Democratic Movement (ADM) to hold the traditional Assyrian new year's celebration reversed their decision late yesterday, shortly after AINA reported the news. Sources on the ground said ADM threatened to hold the festivities with or without permission from the local government in the city of Dohuk (Assyrian Noohadra), which is dominated by members of the Kurdish Democratic Party.
