Chicago (AINA) -- More than 200 Chicago-area Assyrians protested the Iraq elections Sunday in Warren Park, at Pratt and Western. John Michael, president of the Assyrian Academic Society, said Assyrians in Iraq were unable to vote because ballot boxes disappeared. Many couldn't vote in this country because polling wasn't done in cities with large Assyrian populations, he said. About 90,000 Assyrians live in the area.
