Children's Book on the Assyrian Genocide Published

(AINA) -- Join Ashur and Ninwe on a heartfelt journey through the pages of Bravery Beyond Borders: The Journey of the Assyrian People. This inspirational tale, written especially for children (ages 5-12), follows the resilience of the Assyrian community, blending history, courage, and strong family bonds.

'Mother Assyria' Monument Erected in Chicago

Chicago (AINA) -- A monument titled Mother Assyria was erected on August 7, Assyrian Martyrs Day, in Skokie, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, on the grounds of the St. Sargis Assyrian Church. The monument was created by renowned Assyrian artist Ninos Chammo.

Assyrian MP Addresses Security and Property Issues in Turkish Parliament

Ankara (AINA) -- During a recent Turkish parlamentary debate on July 26, 2024, George Aslan, the Assyrian MP representing Mardin since the formation of the Parliament in 2023, took the floor on behalf of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (Halklarin Esitlik ve Demokrasi Partisi -- HEDEP), and addressed security and property issues.

On the Assyro-Chaldean Genocide Recognition By the French National Assembly

Paris (AINA) -- On April 29, 2024 the French National Assembly adopted a resolution recognizing the 1915 Genocide committed against the Assyro--Chaldean people by the Ottoman Empire. The resolution was adopted with an overwhelming majority of 110 votes in favor and 10 abstentions. None voted against the resolution.
